Race Heats Up As Barcelona Ready To Sell Dos Santos

The Mexican starlet has yet to agree a new deal at Camp Nou and his new agent, Pini Zahivi, is ensuring that he has other options should the Blaugrana refuse to meet his demands, AS claim.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been approached about signing the player and DVD's of Giovani's best moments have been sent to try and sell the player.

Barcelona have made no public statement about renewing the 18-year-old's contract and that has led to fierce speculation that they could be weighing up their options.

After making an impressive start to his career at the highest level, Giovani has not reproduced his best form in recent weeks and doubts have been raised about whether he will live up to his potential.

Zahivi is a friend of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and the Blues have been linked with a move for the player, but nothing concrete has happened.

It is alleged that Giovani could be on of the black sheep that Edmílson spoke about last month when he declared that certain Barça players cared more about money and possessions than football.

With his contract due to expire at Barça on June 30, the Catalan club are keeping their cards close to their chest.

Frank Rijkaard has always been a big fan of the tricky winger, but it is thought that even he may be prepared to not bow to any outrageous demands over a new deal made by Zahivi.
