Capello Has Role For Stuart Pearce England manager Fabio Capello is seemingly keen to work with U-21 boss Stuart Pearce...

Fabio Capello is keen to forge a good working relationship with England U-21 coach Stuart Pearce (pictured).

Arsenal’s Theo Walcott, Spurs’ Tom Huddlestone and Villa’s Gabriel Agbonlahor are amongst the starlets currently involved under former Man City boss Pearce.

Capello traditionally works with a close circle of aides, but he insisted Pearce will be kept in the loop.

“I had a very good meeting with Stuart Pearce,” Capello told The FA’s website.

“I want to have a close working relationship with him.

“The Under-21s play an important part in the England [Senior] team’s development. I am also pleased that my assistant Franco Baldini was able to start with me – it’s important that we get on with the job as quickly as possible."

Despite England not being involved in EURO 2008, Former Real Madrid boss Capello is busy discussing the England timetable ahead of World Cup 2010 qualifying.

“Today, I discussed fixtures for the World Cup campaign ahead of the meeting with our group opponents in Zagreb (next Monday). I talked about arrangements for England’s friendly games in May and August plus the schedule for Switzerland next month.”
