The in-form player turned in a man-of-the-match winning performance in the home leg of tie two weeks ago but turned on his ankle during Saturday's hard-fought win over Birmingham and was rated as very doubtful for Wednesday's return game at Goodison Park.
Chelsea coach Avram Grant, however, told the club's official website that Wright-Philips has been working very hard and doing everything in his powers to make himself available for selection.
"The good thing with these players is if they are not 100 per cent, they are doing everything to play," said Grant on the eve of Tuesday afternoon's training session.
"Shaun is doing everything to play. I don't know if he will play but it is good news that he is out there," he added.
Chelsea are down to the bare bones of their squad following the departure of a number of players to the Africa Cup Of Nations and the injuries to Frank Lampard and John Terry.
Despite this, Grant insisted that he would not go to Goodison Park and defend the 2-1 lead.
"If you come only to defend, you can make a mistake and you have lost the game on just one mistake," said the Israeli coach.
"Until now we have played the same in away games as in home games. Sometimes it has not worked but most of the time it has. We will not change our system or our style. I believe Everton feel more comfortable to play at home but for us it is the same."
He added that he will leave any decision on the fitness of Shaun Wright-Philips until the day of the game.
