Jorge Wagner has left Real Betis after securing a permanent transfer to Sao Paolo.
The Brazilian midfielder made just six starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga for the verdiblancos, failing to complete even one ninety minute league game during his tenure in Seville.
The attack-minded player arrived at Betis at the start of the 2006-07 season after being bought for 200,000 euros by then-coach Javier 'Jabi' Irureta, but failed to establish himself even under the man who signed him.
A series of managerial changes lessened Wagner's impact at the Ruiz de Lopera even further, culminating in his loan to Sao Paolo earlier in 2007.
Having recovered from an injury scare, the 29-year-old went on to impress at the Paulista, helping the side to the Campeonato Brasileiro.
Thus Sao Paulo were convinced to splash out 1.225 million euros for the left-sided player, securing him on a three-year deal.
