
After putting pen to paper, the former Ajax man told MUTV, "I'm delighted to have agreed a new deal.
"As we did last year, we said we'd evaluate things in December and both parties were very happy with things so there was no reason for me to quit.
"I'm still feeling very good, and with the way the team plays and everything about the club, it's a delight to be here."
Van der Sar is currently first choice with the Red Devils due to Ben Foster's injury, but the England international is set to return in March to fight for his place.
As such, there will be competition for the number one shirt, which the 122-times capped Oranje international has held for the vast majority of Premiership games this season.
