Ustari Spanish Switch Ruled Out

It has been confirmed that Osky Ustari will not sign for another Liga club in the winter transfer window.

The young Argentine played his fifth competitive Spanish game for Los Azulones last night in the 3-0 Copa del Rey win over Levante, meaning that he is ineligible to play for any other club in the country this season.

The unsettled goalkeeper arrived at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez for a 7m euro fee this summer, making him the msot expensive signing in the club's history: however, with Roberto 'Pato' Abbondanzieri on form and Osky being error-prone in his early days, he's yet to make an impact.

It was mooted that Barcelona would attempt to sign the 21-year-old as cover for Victor Valdes, but now they must wait until summer if they do indeed have such a move in mind.

However, Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos is said to still be monitoring the situation with a view to a possible bid, with English clubs facing no such restrictions.
