With the latest complications in the negotiations for Lucarelli and Bianchi with Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester City respectively, the Granata seem keen to take a different path and go for Italian under-21 international Acquafresca.
Torino have offered Roberto Stellone and Nikola Lazetic for Acquafresca, but Cagliari have refused the offer.
Now the Turin side are now contacting Inter, who hold the other half of Acquafresca's contract, for help.
The Nerazzurri would prefer to see Acquafresca at Torino and may also add goalkeeper Paolo Orlandoni and some other youth players from their Primaver squad into the deal, which already includes Stellone and Lazetic, .
Now it will be up to Cagliari to decide whether this offer is good enough for them, or if they want to hold on to Acquafresca.
