QPR's De Canio Proud In Defeat

A rather unlucky own goal from keeper Lee Camp was the difference between Chelsea and their London neighbours Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup clash at Stamford Bridge.

"To play as we did against a team of champions is very satisfying. It is never nice to lose, but I am proud of my players" De Canio told the club's website.

"I thought we put in a good performance and right up until the end we did everything we could to try and snatch a result.

"The goal was very unfortunate. In football, you have your lucky moments and your unlucky moments and unfortunately in that moment we were very, very unlucky" he added.

"The fact that we matched Chelsea in many errors satisfied me, but we have to make sure we carry that level of performance on into the Championship."

De Canio continued: "We have only had a few days with the new players, but it has all been very positive.

"I am sure we will be able to meet our objective with this group of players in the Championship."
