Lotito Blasts Italian Media

Claudio Lotito has revealed that there is no crisis within the Lazio dressing room and he denies reports which had suggested he was going to fire coach Delio Rossi.

Lotito blasted the media for those reports and insisted that they were false and unfounded.

On Tuesday the club went into a press silence and refused to talk to journalists following reports that Rossi was on his way out. However Lotito wanted to clear the air and explained the circumstances.

“It was just another lie when reports suggested I wanted to sack Rossi, I have an excellent relationship with him.”

“This was the reason why I released a statement a few days ago and this is why we did not want to speak to journalists. The club is trying to improve all the time.”

Lotito explained Lazio’s recent run of poor form and once again rubbished the press reports of problems within the club’s hierarchy.

“The league standings don’t reflect the quality of this team, we have had many injuries. In Rome I have been treated like a target and people have accused us of things which don’t exist.”

“We need to learn from the fans here in Naples which applauded their team despite going out of the cup.”
