Key duo return for Iraq

Iraq coach Egil Olsen has named 15 players from the team which won the AFC Asian Cup 2007 in his squad for next month's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifier against China PR.

Captain Younis Mahmoud, the player of the tournament at last year's continental finals, and the creative Nashat Akram, who is currently on trial at English Premier League force Manchester City, have been recalled to the 25-man squad after missing the second round game with Pakistan in November and last month's King's Cup in Thailand.

There were also call-ups for strikers Emad Mohammed and Ala'a Abdulzahra, who missed out on the Asian Cup, for the opening third round match in Dubai on 6 February.

Iraq will play warm-up matches against Jordan on 24 January and United Arab Emirates one week later.
