However with Luis Figo retiring at the end of the season, and Santiago Solari and Cesar also likely to depart, Inter are preparing for more purchases in the midfield area.
Ajax star Hedwiges Maduro is high up on the list of wanted players. The 22-year-old, who is also admired by Juventus, will leave Amsterdam at the end of the season and he has expressed his desire to play in Italy in the recent past.
Maduro has already played 12 times for the Dutch national team, travelling to the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and is regarded as one of Europe’s most promising talents.
Another player that Inter are interested in acquiring for next season is 24-year-old Brescia midfielder Daniele Mannini.
Mannini began his career at Lucchese, and has made more than 100 appearances for Brescia since signing for them from Pisa in 2004.
