Inter Approach Juve For Almiron - Report

The 27-year-old only signed for the Bianconeri in the summer, and was immediately labelled as the “new Sebastian Veron” due to his style of play.

However Almiron has been a huge flop and is way down in the centre-midfield pecking-order behind Cristiano Zanetti, Antonio Nocerino and even Tiago Mendes.

He has made just eight appearances, five of these starts, and has barely featured in the past two months.

Juve are desperate to offload him during this month’s transfer window, and had set-up a move to Greek-outfit Olympiakos.

However Almiron is reluctant to move to Athens, and so Inter Milan could be set to profit from the situation.

The Nerazzurri are in desperate need of some reinforcements in midfield, with Olivier Dacourt, Luis Figo, Patrick Vieria and Dejan Stankovic all currently out injured.

Roberto Mancini admires Almiron’s style as he is a similar mould of player to Veron and Dacourt, two favourites of the Coach over the past few years.

Inter are set to offer Juve a six-month loan deal for the Argentine, who would join a large South American contingent at San Siro.
