I Want The Champions League – Ibrahimovic

The Nerazzurri may have won the Scudetto by a landslide last season, however they had a very disappointing Champions League campaign, after getting eliminated in the last 16 by Valencia.

This term Inter are also dominating Serie A, and Ibra is eager that they are not frustrated again in Europe.

“I feel I am lacking the Champions League, it is a thought that is fixed in my head,” said Ibrahimovic, referring to the fact that he has still yet to win the competition.

“I know that the desire to win the cup is shared by the whole club and I will do everything possible to win it.”

Inter face a difficult task in next month’s last 16 as they have been drawn with 2005 winners Liverpool.

“Every player is already preparing for Liverpool,” Ibracadabra added.

“That does not mean we are snubbing the league, indeed we would like to win another Scudetto.

“It’s just the charm of the cup has occupied the minds of everyone.”

Inter and Liverpool have only met competitively in the past on one occasion back in 1965, when the Nerazzurri triumphed 4-3 on aggregate in a classic European Cup semi-final.
