"It was a great result for us," the Scot told Sky Sports. "We knew this was going to be a tricky round. Aston Villa have been in fantastic form.
"It was a really tight cup tie, but we've managed to squeeze through. The name of the game is to stay in the Cup. I'd have taken a replay gladly because I couldn't see a goal coming. We've squeezed through by the tightest of margins."
