Amelia Linked With Palermo Switch

The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Palermo's director of sport, Rino Foschi, is about to place an audacious bid for Marco Amelia.

The Livorno goalkeeper is wanted throughout the peninsula, but as club president said, "Amelia stays with us - we've had many offers, but nobody's getting him."

However, that won't stop Foschi from offering Italian U-21 international goalkeeper Federico Agliardi and 2 million euros for the Azzurri stopper.

Livorno would prefer a pure cash deal in the region of 5.5 to 6 million euros, but that offer may only be forthcoming from Lazio, who are looking for a long-term replacement for Marco Ballotta.

The Gazzetta further added that bad boy Francesco Coco would like a chance to redeem himself at Livorno after falling foul at Queen's Park Rangers in England.
